At the end of March, we are releasing an update to Inspector Cloud, which includes:
Panorama
During visits, it often happens that a store shelf is too large to fit in one photo. For this, we added the Panorama feature. It’s an algorithm that allows you to make one large panoramic picture from several photos, and use it as a base for complex KPI calculations.
If product images in a visit scene overlap in different photos, the duplicate images from a previous photo will be marked with black frames in the next ones.
Such photos will be combined into one large panorama. The more photos, the larger this panorama will be.
Appearance of the final panorama directly depends on the shooting quality. To get the highest quality, take photos from the same angle and height.
Scene photos are stitched together into a panorama overnight. The stitched photos are located in the visit window, under the Panoramas tab.
Neural Network Shelf Detector
Another algorithm is the Neural Network Shelf Detector. It allows you to detect where one shelf ends in a photo, and another begins.
Labeling was added to this algorithm, the vision model was trained, and the calculation of indicators was changed. Additionally, the algorithm uses panoramic photos.
Status dashboard
Status dashboard is an information panel where you can view the state of the system, and if there are any problems in operation. Information is displayed in real time.
Status and charts
At the top of the dashboard, current system and services status, as well as the system health for a certain period of time, are displayed. You can also build a chart for the last hour, 12 hours, week or month.
Incidents
If there were any failures in the system, this information will be reflected in the incident history. An incident record contains the status, details of the problem, and the time it was discovered and resolved.
Notifications
That’s the most important thing. If the system fails, or a queue for photo processing and recognition appears, you can quickly find out about it. For that, we added the ability to enable email notifications. In these messages, we will notify you about a progress of incident resolution.
New menu
In the portal menu, you can now collapse the sections windows, for example Master Data. That way you can increase your screen working area, in case you are working on a small display.
